My continuing quest for unisex clothing has led me to some lovely work by COCO and Apple May Designs. Each item is available in male and female versions and the quality is just amazing. The hand-in-pockets design of the jacket really gives life to the mesh and, by pulling it away from the body slightly, makes it a lot less boob-focused than much other, standard-sized, mesh. It’s also really lovely to see such well designed baggy jeans, and for only L$100, too! I absolutely love how they sit on my hips and I have a feeling it won’t be too long before I snap up the other colours.
I have treated myself to a new skin, too – this is the gorgeous ‘Bryn’ by Flamboyant who make skins for “beautiful, stylish and sexy adult effeminate male, femboys, girlish bois, traps, and trans-gender avatars.” The options you get for your L$800 are really impressive and make it incredibly versatile; certainly I’ve also found it perfect for a ‘tomboy’/FTM/androgynous look. I think I’m going to be wearing ‘Bryn’ a lot so there should be some close-ups soon – in the meantime you can always take a look at the Marketplace listing for lots of details and pics.
Finally, I’d like to give a shout out to the fabulous Honour McMillan, whose blog I read with much pleasure – she always posts about the most incredible places and it’s thanks to her that I found this sim when I was pondering where to take my pic.
My first post of the new year – I hope you’ve had a lovely few weeks, whatever you’ve been up to, and that 2015 brings lots of good things to you all! Personally, I’ve had a lovely relaxing time and am returning fully refreshed and looking forward to getting this blog and my other projects fully rolling.
I couldn’t think of a better way to begin blogging this year than treating myself to these beautiful unisex 2-piece skirt-suits from A:S:S. There are three versions currently available (the third being navy blue) and each set comes with boob-ed and flat versions of the jacket-and-shirt combo, several sizes of each piece (I found it easy finding sizes that worked, but remember – demo, demo, demo!) and a HUD with options to texture the shirt and tie individually in a choice of 10 colours.
Unisex clothing seems hard to come by (at least that’s what I’m discovering so far) and cannot be easy to make, so finding work as gorgeous as this is truly heartening and inspiring.. and, at under L$300 each, I also think they’re an absolute steal!
Additionally, the shoes on Prot are by Thor and are also very versatile including, as they do, a HUD with options to texture 5 areas individually with a choice of 7 colours (and also an option of dark or light trim) – they scale down brilliantly, too, so I’m pretty sure they could fit on daintier feet if you so desire.
Finally, thank you to all of you who visit this blog – I love sharing the things I find and I really hope you enjoy me doing so too. Here’s to another year of fabulous fashion! 🍸
La Metallique Fair opened on August 15th and I was lucky enough to cover the event for Seraphim – this always gives me an opportunity to really look in great detail at the items available at an event and I was particularly blown away by what is on offer here. Organised as a celebration of L’accessoires‘s second anniversary, the fair is packed full of fabulous jewelry, shoes, bags and other accessories on a metallic theme. I’m truly spoiled for choice as to what to blog and I do hope I have the chance to post more before the event closes, but I needed to show you some of the designs made by Alienbear Gupte because they are just breathtaking!
I love dragons – I particularly love Chinese dragons – so you can imagine the squee’ing echoing around my head when I saw these. The detail in each and every piece is incredible and photographs so beautifully – I had so much fun working on the pics that I had to tear myself away to actually blog them ( a raw shot is included further down so you can see a couple of items in their unedited glory.) A copy version of the dragon scale bracelets is a completely free gift for the duration of the event and a couple of the items are totally exclusive to the event and won’t be available later. There are more items in the fair stand than I’ve pictured, including a fantastic earring set that is a VIP group gift [L$100 to join] – I wasn’t able to get the group vendor to work for me but if you take the landmark to the member’s shop (once you’ve joined the group) you can pick it up there. Check out Alienbear’s Flickr for her vendor photos.
Alienbear’s Designs are not the only store to be offering items that will only be on sale at La Metallique Fair – so be sure to visit if you can and take a good look around – it really is a lovely event with a nice clean set up and has never been particularly laggy when I’ve stopped by. It’s open until September 8th so you still have a week and a bit.
These shoes can also be found at La Metallique Fair – I’m sorry you cannot see them in great detail but they are gorgeous and the whole 22769 stall is another must-see stall. The dress I’m wearing is by the always-yumtastic BOOM and I cannot believe how well it matches the jewelry.. I love it when that happens!
I also want to say a big thank you to the girls over at the wonderful FabFree blog for making me aware of this lovely dollarbie skin by INSITU! Follow this link to read Love Trill’s post and see her beautiful shots of all the included skin tones.
Finally, a word on a personal frustration – I know I can’t be the only blogger this happens to (please tell me I’m not!) but it seems like I’m always getting a shot I’m happy with, changing all my settings and getting out of the pose and/or editing it until I’m happy, and then realising I forgot to do something. In this case it’s my nails – I was going to change the length and use an applier. It’s certainly not something I’m going to attempt reshooting for (I shot these on ultra with EVERY FREAKING THING ENABLED and it’s so rare my computer will tolerate that I’m not going to push my luck!) still, these little things bug me.. maybe I need to write myself a checklist..
Hope you’re all having a fantastic week, thanks for reading!

I’ve had this incredibly cute hair from Pink Hustler sat in my inventory since I saw it in another blog (I wish I could remember which one so I could credit appropriately but I’m afraid it was months ago!) I was reminded of it as soon as I saw this adorable dress from BOOM at the Olive You fundraiser and couldn’t wait to put the two together. Olive You is full of brand new items from some amazing designers who are all giving 100% of the proceeds to help the owner of Olive raise some money towards court costs as her family fight to save their home, and it’s open until the end of the month.
A couple of other things I want to note – these beautiful eyes are from Langly and are only L$1 for a pack of 3 on the Marketplace, and the eye makeup by Angelica can currently only be found at The Gallery Gift Shop‘s Anniversary event which ends soon. Oh, yes, and the fish in the hair are animated (squee!)
I’ve been very busy covering events with Seraphim which means my own blog has had to take a backseat for the past week – I’m also working on some items for an event (more on that soon) and am taking a few days holiday this month – but I will try to sneak a few things in here whenever I get the chance!
I have managed to update my blogroll, though, which can now be found on its own page rather than having to scroll down a long and untidy list on the sidebar. I made little icons for each blog and am pretty chuffed with how it’s ended up looking – hope you like it!
That’s the end of the update, back to the fashion! Today’s look is a simple one but I liked it so much as it is I didn’t really want to add a load to it – it’s inspired by a dress from Coquet available at Rhapsody – a beautiful event that embraces various music genres. Rhapsody is open until July 12th and is packed full of exclusives by some truly wonderful designers – well worth a visit! The lovely skin is a free gift currently available at Essences that I just added a simple freckles layer to. I think the result is fresh and yummy!
Hopefully see you again soon! ❤

The inspiration for this post was seeing May Tolsen’s release for the current round of Kustom9 – ‘Space Friends‘ are so adorable that I knew I had to have some for my very own. These detailed original meshes are designed to be worn as attachments but I thought it would be fun to rez them for this post; I resized ‘My Home,’ (taking care to make a note of its original dimensions so I could return it back to its intended state once I was done) and I love the results!
Of course, setting up a space-themed post meant I got to shop for lots more cool stuff (not that I ever really need much of an excuse.) I stumbled across Nylon Popstar‘s leotards a little while ago and I knew they would be the perfect starting point for my outfit – there are 9 colours to choose from, each including 2 transparancy options, multiple layers and Phat Azz and Lolas appliers for only L$50 a pack. Hopefully the pictures speak for the amazing quality of the texture itself – it really is that shiny!
A search for space-y items on Marketplace returned these funky boots by Killer Cerise and I just had to have them: the style and texture is just so cute! I resized them slightly and used the alpha for my Slink feet rather than the one included as my legs are pretty small.. but that is the beauty of modifiable items, with just a little tinkering you can have them fit pretty much any shape you choose to be.
I found Olli Braveheart‘s hair store, LCKY, thanks to a fellow blogger and I’m now a big fan: the styles there are really something special and the colours in the packs are some of the loveliest I’ve seen. The one I’m wearing here is an older style which fitted perfectly under Dolce Blackflag‘s fab helmet – there are currently 15 discounted styles out in store sold in colour packs costing only L$50 each.
I’ve layered quite a lot of eye makeup for an ‘out of this world effect’ but the skin itself is a lovely dollarbie from the ever-fabulous MiaSnow (back in-world again, yay!): its lips were already a perfect match for my chosen outfit.
I hope you enjoy this look at least a little as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it!
